Many of the commercial machines supplied by Laundry Equipment Services—particularly high-end Japanese units—are designed to operate on 200V 3-phase power, which is not standard in Australia. Local systems typically supply 415V 3-phase, making direct connection unsafe and incompatible.

Each project required a transformer that could safely convert voltage to 200V, maintain equipment performance, and comply with Australian safety standards. It also had to be compact, reliable, and quickly available to support rapid project timelines.
